Situated in the northeastern part of Northern Mindanao, Butuan City covers a land area of approximately 70,000 hectares. The city's location, accessibility, political stability, and natural endowments have made the city the regional center of CARAGA Region 13. It is composed of 27 urban barangays and 59 rural barangays.

The city is currently populated by more than 500 thousand inhabitants widely distributed in its urban & rural barangays.

HOW TO GET THERE?

By Air
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific flies daily, direct from Manila to Butuan and Cebu to Butuan.

By Land
3-4 hours from Cagayan de Oro City, 5-6 hrs. from Davao City and 2 hrs. from Surigao City. Aircon and non-aircon buses to Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Surigao are available every 30 minutes.

By Sea
Luxury boats travel two times a week from Manila to Butuan and daily from Cebu.
